 Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow

Tim Tebow is a two-time national champion, first round NFL draft pick, and Heisman Trophy winner. In addition, he serves as a college football analyst for ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN Tebow played three years in the NFL for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets and is a former member of the New York Mets organization. As the son of missionaries, Tebow has continuously worked to spread God’s word by serving people in need. Tebow is the author of four New York Times Best Selling books, which include “Through My Eyes,” “Discovering Your True Identity,” “This Is the Day” and his most recent release, “Bronco & Friends.”

The Tim Tebow Foundation was established in 2010 with the goal to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The foundation fulfills this mission every day by making dreams come true for children with life- threatening illnesses, building Timmy’s Playrooms in children’s hospitals, providing life- changing surgeries to children of the Philippines through the Tebow CURE Hospital, sponsoring Night to Shine, a nationwide prom and worldwide movement for people with special needs, providing care for orphans in six countries and adoption aid grants for families who choose to adopt an international child with special needs.

Demi-Leigh Tebow, a South Africa native, is the founder of the Unbreakable Campaign and the wife of Tim Tebow. The campaign’s goal is to educate and empower women globally on how to prevent and manage dangerous situations. The campaign was founded after she survived a hijacking attempt in South Africa. Through her work as Miss Universe, Tebow was able to expand the Unbreakable initiative to create a community of hope and support across the globe. Tebow is also a board member of Her Song, an Anti-Human Trafficking ministry within the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Community Support

The free annual breakfast that draws about 1,000 participants from throughout the area would not be possible without local businesses and organizations that annually step up to support the event through sponsorships and donations.

About Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast, Inc.

In 2021, the organizers of the annual community prayer breakfast established a tax-exempt organization known as Southwest Florida Community Prayer Breakfast, Inc., in order to ensure longevity of the event and expand its reach into the community. Founding board members are Carl Barraco, Ron Inge, John Noland and Gary Trippe. Current board members include Richard Akin, Ashley Hull and Matt Roepstorff, who lead the organization alongside the founding board members.

Previously, the annual event was coordinated by local faith-based organizations with support from local community leaders.

Creating a nonprofit organization allows for continued engagement of speakers of Dr. Carson’s caliber and ensures the annual prayer breakfast remains a permanent event in Southwest Florida.
